Coming Out for Art is a group art show dedicated to celebrating and representing the art of LGBTQ+ artists in southern CT and Rhode Island. By dedicating a show to queer artists, we are given the opportunity to highlight the diverse lives of people in the LGBTQ+ community and all their intersecting identities. The works are aspirational, sometimes dark, celebratory and often express real life. This group show is comprised of many different mediums: paintings, graffiti, sculpture and much more. Artists in the show include Casey Moran, Sheila Barbone, Jackie JackStar Rivera, Guido Garayacochea, Amy Hannum and others. Exhibit opening Friday, January 7th from 5-7pm. Gallery hours are on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday afternoons 1-4pm through February 28.
